What is Barbershop
Barbershop singing requires four voices, Tenor, Lead, Baritone & Bass singing without instrumental support. Groups ca be male, female and mixed voices.
Who can join The Silvertones?
The Silvertones is a group of retired men. To join you must be a man who is not in the paid workforce and who wants to share the joy of singing with other like-minded men.
When are rehearsals held?
For the most part, rehearsals are held om Friday morning, startimh at 10:00am.10:00am --> 11:30 am.
What are the musical pre requisites?
There are no pre requirements, no accreditation, and there are no assessments or qualifications to be gained. You just want to have a go.

Nursing homes and retirement villages
When does the Silvertones perfom?
Predominantly on Friday Afternoons
When does The Silvertones rehearse?
Friday mornings at 10:00 for about 90 minutes.
How do you learn all that stuff?
Once you get a username and password to this site you are given member level access. That includes access to all of our learning tracks and musical scores.
How much does it cost to join?
Annual membership is $75 which is the affiliation fee to Barbershop Harmony Australia
How do I join??
Come along to any rehearsal and give it a go. If you think you can fit in then you're in!
Visitors are also invited to "try before you buy".Do I have to be able to read music?
All of our members read music to a greater or lesser degree - some very little others quite a lot. You will find that you get the hang of it over a period of time.
If you read well - great. If you don't read at all, you soon will!
